Phil Mickelson OUT of First Two Events of 2026 LIV Golf Season

For the second consecutive season, HyFlyers GC will be without its captain in the opening event. Phil Mickelson announced on social media on Sunday that a "family health matter" will keep him out for the first two competitions on the 2026 LIV Golf League schedule.

Lefty will miss Riyadh this week and the biggest event of the LIV Golf season in Adelaide next week. Ollie Schniederjans will dress for HyFlyers in Saudi Arabia, but Phil did not commit to Ollie playing in his place when the League travels to Australia.

Schniederjans will team up with Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale, and newly signed Michael LaSasso when the season gets underway on Wednesday under the lights.
