Who Is Michael La Sasso?

Michael La Sasso, born March 25, 2004, is an American professional golfer. Now, turning professional in 2026, he tries to transition from a highly successful collegiate career at North Carolina State University and the University of Mississippi. As a senior during the 2024–25 season, La Sasso posted the lowest single-season scoring average in Ole Miss program history at 69.48 and earned First Team All-American honors. His crowning amateur achievement came in 2025 when he won the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship individual title, becoming only the second player in school history to do so. Additional amateur victories include the 2022 The Carolinian, 2024 Hamptons Intercollegiate, and 2025 Old Waverly Collegiate Championship. He also represented the United States at the Arnold Palmer Cup in both 2024 and 2025, as well as the Walker Cup in 2025.

La Sasso made his major championship debut at the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, where he missed the cut after rounds of 74 and 74. During 2025, he competed in five PGA Tour events, making the cut at the 3M Open. He has not appeared in the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, or The Open Championship. Now competing in the LIV Golf League, La Sasso brings a strong foundation of collegiate dominance and international amateur experience to professional team golf.
