The LIV Golf Promotions event begins on Thursday, January 8, as an International field sets its sights on three qualifying spots in the League for 2026. The Promotions event takes place at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, USA, and features a challenging four-round, progressive, 72-hole stroke play format.
The top 20 players and ties from the opening round advance to Friday’s second round, where scores reset, and pre-qualified entrants augment the field. Following round two, the top 20 and ties progress to the third day, again with a score reset. The tournament culminates in an exciting two-day, 36-hole finale, after which the top three finishers secure highly coveted full-season Wild Card spots in the 2026 LIV Golf League, accompanied by prize money of $200,000 for first place, $150,000 for second, and $100,000 for third. Additionally, the top 10 finishers (including ties) receive a full exemption into the 2026 International Series, the elevated events sanctioned by the Asian Tour.
Big names like Anthony Kim, Matt Jones, and Ben Campbell, all former LIV Golf League players, will begin their quest to reenter the League on Friday, but some interesting names will tee it up on Thursday morning seeking a life-changing opportunity. At 10:33 am, 2025 Palmer Cup player and former sixth-ranked player in World Amateur Golf Rankings, Pablo Ereno of Spain, begins his battle for a LIV Golf spot. Chris Wood, a member of the 2016 European Ryder Cup team and a 3x European Tour winner, tees off at 11:17 am from Hole 1. And, 5x DP World Tour winner, Alex Levy of France, will tee it up in Florida at 11:28 am, looking to join countryman Victor Perez, who signed with Cleeks Golf Club earlier this winter.
